About the Drumstick Dash Thanksgiving Day Events
The courses loop Lake Harriet in South Minneapolis, with a couple of gentle hills along the way. Shorter distance options share the same start and finish as the longer route, so the whole group leaves together and reunites at the end. The terrain underfoot is park path, and the lake setting keeps things scenic even on a cold Thanksgiving morning.
Packet pickup runs at a local running store the weekend before the race and at a second location a few days later. Race-morning pickup is available at the Lake Harriet Bandshell before the first wave goes off. There are cookies at the finish.
