About the Delta Sigma Phive-K
The course runs on a university campus, starting and finishing at a coffee shop on the grounds. The route is campus roads and paths, so the terrain is paved and fairly level. A shorter fun run for children runs alongside the main event, and there is a finish line celebration back where everyone started.
The race is put on by a fraternity chapter raising money for a regional children's nonprofit. That context gives the morning a more personal feel than a typical road race, with the campus community and families making up much of the crowd.
