About the Fright Night 5k
The course runs through downtown Monroe, starting and finishing at Flying Tiger Brewery. Expect spooky characters and surprises scattered along the route, so it reads more like a haunted tour of the streets than a straight race. The event benefits the local Main Street volunteer board, and the neighborhood feel is woven into the whole evening.
After crossing the finish, the brewery is the gathering spot, with live music and a costume contest keeping things going well past the last finisher. Registered runners get a complimentary drink from the brewery, and the post-race crowd tends to linger.
