About the Coventry 300 5K

The course follows an out-and-back route through neighborhoods, starting and finishing beside the church on Keen Road. The first half runs mostly downhill, with a stretch on a paved footpath looping around a pond before turning back. That means the return leg climbs what you just coasted down, so expect to earn the finish.

The race runs alongside the church's fall festival, so there is music and food after you cross the line, and a kids' run along Keen Road wraps up the morning. Post-race awards cover overall winners and age groups.

Common Questions About the Coventry 300 5K

Will I finish last at the Coventry 300 5K?

Almost certainly not. Half the 5K field finished slower than 27:04, and the last recorded finisher came in around 50:31, so there is a long tail of runners behind the middle of the pack. Most fields are far slower than people expect.

Is the Coventry 300 5K a good first 5K?

It is a small race (46 finishers), which is friendlier and less intimidating than a big-city event, though the field thins out. There is no qualifying time, and the finish-time spread above shows how varied the field really is. If it is your first 5K, that spread matters more than the winner's time.

How competitive is the Coventry 300 5K?

The 5K winner ran 17:51 while the median finisher took 27:04. That spread points to a mixed field, with a competitive front and a big recreational middle.
