About the Countdown to the Finish - 5K, 10K, 10-Miler, Half Marathon
Alamitos Beach is the setting, with the route heading out and back along the shoreline path. It is an open course shared with pedestrians and cyclists, so runners are asked to keep right. The path is flat and paved, with the Belmont Pier as a landmark mid-route. Aid is available on course and at the finish line.
Bib pickup happens the afternoon before at Sports Basement Long Beach, with a second window opening race morning near the start. Parking is available in the lot nearby, with street parking as a free alternative. At the finish there is water, Gatorade, gels, and fruit snacks, and a spectator tent sits just west of the finish line.
