The course runs along the Hollywood Broadwalk, a paved path that hugs the beachfront. You have the ocean to one side the whole way, and the morning start keeps the Florida heat at bay. The race raises money for school mentoring and prevention programs, and participants are encouraged to bring canned goods for a local food drive.
