About the 2nd Annual Rock the Climb
This is a stair climb, not a road race. Participants ascend the stairs of the Hard Rock Guitar Hotel in Hollywood, with several distance options ranging from a shorter climb to a full tower challenge. Firefighters take on the climb in full turnout gear alongside those in athletic wear, and the atmosphere is one of quiet purpose rather than competition.
A local firefighters' organization hosts the event alongside the hotel, with proceeds supporting veteran relief and firefighter benevolent funds. Refreshments are available at the finish, and there is space to rest and connect with other climbers after the ascent.
