About the OmegaXL Sport FIRE HERO 5K
The course runs along the Hollywood Beach Broadwalk, a paved oceanfront path that stays flat the whole way out and back. You have the beach on one side and the Broadwalk's shops and restaurants on the other, and the morning breeze off the water tends to make it feel easier than a typical road race. The race benefits the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation.
Start and finish are at Margaritaville on the Broadwalk, so the post-race area is right on the beach. There is a brunch spread after you finish, which makes lingering easy.
