About the Bret Harte's Run Turkey Run 2026
The course starts and finishes at Leland High School in Almaden Valley, running along Camden Avenue before connecting to paved trails beside Los Alamitos Creek and into the open space beyond. The terrain stays level throughout, with a smooth surface underfoot the whole way. It is a Thanksgiving morning race, and the surroundings along the creek give it a quieter feel than a typical road course.
Parking is available at Leland High School and off Via Valiente. Camden Avenue will be closed on race day, so the lot entrance on Via Valiente is the one to use. Packet pickup runs the evening before the race at Bret Harte Middle School, with a race-morning pickup window at Leland High School as well.
