About the Bigfoot Classic - Tulsa

The Bigfoot Classic runs through Oklahoma parks and woodlands, with terrain that leans scenic rather than urban. The course has a wide range of distance options, so runners of most abilities tend to show up. There is a costume contest alongside the race, with the crowd picking a winner among those dressed as Bigfoot or other mythical creatures.

A DJ keeps music going through the start and finish, and every runner gets announced by name. Water and fuel are available on the course. When you finish, there is a race rally tent with snacks and drinks, and awards are handed out on site with some ceremony to them.

Common Questions About the Bigfoot Classic - Tulsa

Will I finish last at the Bigfoot Classic - Tulsa?

Almost certainly not. Half the 3.11 Miles field finished slower than 40:39, and the last recorded finisher came in around 1:15:22, so there is a long tail of runners behind the middle of the pack. Most fields are far slower than people expect.

Is the Bigfoot Classic - Tulsa a good first 3.11 Miles?

It is a small race (83 finishers), which is friendlier and less intimidating than a big-city event, though the field thins out. There is no qualifying time, and the finish-time spread above shows how varied the field really is. If it is your first 3.11 Miles, that spread matters more than the winner's time.

How competitive is the Bigfoot Classic - Tulsa?

The 3.11 Miles winner ran 21:57 while the median finisher took 40:39. That spread points to a mixed field, with a competitive front and a big recreational middle.
