About the Big Red and Barbacoa 5K Run/Walk
The course follows the Salado Greenway, a paved path through San Antonio, so expect a road feel with the open air of a greenway trail. The route is flat enough that walkers and slower runners move through it comfortably alongside faster ones.
The after-party at Comanche Park is the draw here. Big Red soda and barbacoa tacos are waiting at the finish, with music going in the pavilion. Packet pickup runs the evening before the race, with a race-morning option available as well.
