About the 16th Annual Be My Valentine: 5K Run/Walk
The course runs through McAllister Park, a wooded San Antonio park with paved and natural-surface paths. The terrain is gentle, and the park setting keeps things shaded and calm on race morning. There is a Cupid costume contest and music at the finish, so the atmosphere leans festive in a very specific, Valentine's-themed way.
The race starts and finishes at one of the park pavilions off Buckhorn Road. There is a paired division where two runners finish together and have their times combined, which draws couples and training partners looking to race as a unit rather than solo.
