About the Almost Half Way to St. Patrick's Day 5K
The race starts and finishes on Baxter Boulevard, a road course along the waterfront with open sky and flat terrain. It benefits a local veterans post, and walkers are welcome alongside runners.
Packet pickup is at a running store on Marginal Way, a short drive from the start. After the race, the party moves to a bar on Congress Street, where participants old enough to drink can claim a complimentary Guinness. Cash prizes go to overall winners and top teams.
