About the AEC Touchstone Energy Run United Half Marathon, 10K, 5K, and Kids' Fun Run
The course runs through downtown Aiken and along South Boundary, a tree-lined stretch that is a local landmark. The route is known more for scenery than challenge, passing through the kind of historic streetscape that makes a morning run feel worth the early alarm. Several distance options mean you see the same neighborhood whether you are out for a short effort or the full half marathon.
Packet pickup runs the evening before at a local arts center downtown. On race day, street parking is available along Laurens Street and through the surrounding downtown blocks. Afterward, a food truck village sets up in the post-race area with local vendors including coffee, desserts, and a chicken sandwich spot that needs no introduction.
