About the Whiskey Road Race
The course runs down Whiskey Road and through Aiken's historic horse district before winding along South Boundary Avenue, a stretch known for its scenery and canopy. The route has some shape to it, enough to keep you honest, and the surroundings give you something to look at while you work. Chip timing covers the main distances, with a shorter fun run and a tot trot rounding out the morning.
Packet pickup happens the afternoon before at the Cumbee Center office, with a second window on race morning at the start area. The race benefits the Cumbee Center, a local nonprofit serving domestic and sexual violence victims across the surrounding counties, so the entry fee goes somewhere specific.
