About the Good Run 5K

The course runs the shoreline paths of East Shore Park, tracing the edge of New Haven Harbor. The terrain is flat throughout, and the route is open to runners, walkers, and those using walking aids. The park setting keeps the whole thing unhurried and open to wherever you are in your fitness right now.

After the race, a short documentary about Parkinson's disease, which inspired the event, screens at a nearby venue. The film follows the subject of the race's founding story, giving the morning a personal weight that most local races do not carry. Proceeds benefit the Parkinson's Foundation.
