About the 9/11 Never Forget Trail Run/Walk 5k
The course runs through Fillmore County Park on unpaved trail, so expect natural ground underfoot rather than asphalt. The race honors those lost that day, along with veterans and first responders, and that purpose is felt throughout the morning. Non-service dogs are asked to stay home, and if you plan to bring a stroller, an all-terrain model is the right call.
Packet pickup runs on the days leading up to race morning at the Oceola Community Center in Howell, with on-site pickup available as well if you cannot get there in advance. Chip timing is handled by a local timing organization, and your result comes straight to your phone as you finish.

The 9/11 Never Forget Trail Run/Walk 5k has been held every year since at least 2023. That is as far back as RunSignup's records for this race go, so it may well be older.
How we calculate these stats: RunSesh calculates these figures from the most recent published results of past editions, sourced from RunSignup. We show aggregates only: field size, winning and median times, and the cutoff. We never publish individual finisher tables. Last updated Jul 27, 2026.
