About the 4 Mile Hill Challenge
The course runs through Debs Park, a historic green space in Los Angeles, and the challenge in the name is honest. Expect real hills rather than a flat loop. The route starts and finishes at the Audubon Nature Center, so you return to trees and birdsong at the end. Runners, walkers, and hikers share the course, and dogs are welcome on the trail.
The Audubon Nature Center doubles as the start and finish area, which gives the morning a grounded, park-gathering feel. The race is part of a broader wellness series, so the post-race atmosphere tends to linger rather than disperse quickly.
