About the 22ND CANNONBALL 5k Race & Trenny Elliott Memorial Walk

The course runs through the historic streets of Lewes, starting and finishing at the Lewes Historical Society. It is flat and quick, passing through old neighborhoods and past landmarks that carry real history, including the Cannonball House, a building that survived a British naval bombardment and now anchors the town's maritime heritage. The race raises money toward that building's restoration.

Post-race, runners of drinking age can head to the Sussex Tavern for a complimentary beer. Awards go out shortly after the final finisher crosses, covering overall winners, masters, and a wide range of age groups.
