About the Zedikiah Scholarship 5K
The course runs through Great Lawn Park, a green open space that keeps things accessible underfoot. The race supports the Zedikiah Memorial Scholarship Fund, which backs BIPOC students in fields where representation is thin, so the morning carries a bit more weight than most local runs.
The day opens with a dove release before the start, which sets a tone you do not get at a typical road race. Afterward there are donuts and coffee, plus shoe demos and a raffle. Packet pickup is at Snooze Eatery, with the location to be confirmed closer to race day.
