About the 4th Annual YMCA Run For The Hills 5K/2K
The course runs through a YMCA camp property outside Crown Point, looping over terrain that earns the name: the land is hilly, wooded, and closed to traffic on race day. The shorter distance is untimed and aimed at younger kids, while the longer one has full age-group and weight-division awards.
The race falls inside a broader fall festival the YMCA hosts on the same grounds, so after you finish there is rock climbing, archery, a petting zoo, tractor rides, and pumpkin launching happening nearby. Parking is on-site, and check-in opens early on race morning.
