About the YMCA REINDEER RAMBLE 5K
The race runs through Keeneland Race Course, a working thoroughbred track, so the grounds feel different from a typical road race. The start and finish are near the barns, and parts of the course go along the track's outer roads. Costumes are encouraged, and plenty of runners show up in holiday sweaters or full Santa suits.
Packet pickup runs the day before at a local YMCA branch, with a second window that afternoon. Race-morning pickup opens at the track before the gun. Parking is in the main lot near the gate closest to the course entrance, which also serves as the exit once the roads clear.
