About the Wildcat 5K and Family Fun Run

The course runs through a residential area of McLean on shaded roads with gently rolling terrain. There are no sustained climbs, just enough variation to keep it interesting. A shorter family-friendly option loops around the church and school that sponsor the event, so the whole route stays close to the start. The race is USATF-sanctioned.

After you finish, the scene outside the school fills out considerably: food, music, bounce attractions, and games make it a longer stop than most post-race setups. Families tend to stick around.
