About the McLean 5K
The course is a certified road route through McLean, starting and finishing at a shopping center on Old Dominion Drive. It is designed to work for a range of paces and abilities, and the proceeds go toward local causes, from schools and parks to arts programs and seniors.
Packet pickup runs the evening before at the McLean Community Center, with a backup window race morning at the start area. The race also collects food donations for a local all-volunteer food organization, so consider bringing a few nonperishable items. A brief awards ceremony follows the finish.

How we calculate these stats: RunSesh calculates these figures from the most recent published results of past editions, sourced from RunSignup. We show aggregates only: field size, winning and median times, and the cutoff. We never publish individual finisher tables. Last updated Sep 10, 2026.
