About the Wild Miles Safari 5k/10k
This is a women-only race in Denton with a cheetah theme running through everything, from the encouraged print-covered outfits to the decorated bibs. There is a kids' dash option for younger runners, and the course is offered at two distances. The atmosphere leans more carnival than time trial, with a glitter station, temporary tattoo booth, and bib bedazzling before the start.
Race-morning check-in opens well before the gun, giving you time to visit the vendor area and the various activity stations. There is also an option to pick up your bib the day before. Awards are handed out on-site after the race closes, so plan to stick around if you are chasing an age group placement.
