About the Wichita State Engineering 5K
The course runs through the WSU Innovation Campus, a road route that draws students, faculty, and people from the wider Wichita area. The race is tied to National Engineering Week, so the crowd skews toward the university community, and the post-race awards cover several categories including alumni and faculty alongside open runners. Snacks and water are out at the finish gathering.
Packet pickup is available the evening before at the John Bardo Center lobby, with a second window on race morning at the same location.

How we calculate these stats: RunSesh calculates these figures from the most recent published results of past editions, sourced from RunSignup. We show aggregates only: field size, winning and median times, and the cutoff. We never publish individual finisher tables. Last updated Jul 27, 2026.
