About the White County Turkey Trot

The course runs entirely inside a park called Yonah Preserve, starting and finishing at the Recreation Center there. It is a contained loop through the park grounds, set in the North Georgia mountains, so the surroundings carry some real elevation and tree cover even if the course itself stays within the park.

Packet pickup happens race morning at the start area before the gun goes off. All registration is handled online beforehand, and there is no walk-up cash option on race day, so it is worth sorting that out ahead of time. An awards ceremony follows the race, and organizers ask that you collect any award in person rather than expect it to be mailed.
