About the Wendell Foster Half Marathon & 5K

The course runs along Owensboro's riverfront and through the historic downtown streets, with road closures keeping things clean underfoot. It is flat throughout, which draws runners chasing a fast effort as well as those covering the distance for the first time. Cheer stations are spread across the route, and past runners have pointed to the crowd support as the part that sticks with them.

Packet pickup and an expo happen the evening before at the Owensboro Convention Center, with a second pickup window early on race morning at the same location. Walk-up registration on race day is not an option. The start line is along West Veterans Boulevard, near Smothers Park.
