About the Welcome to the 21st Annual Vail Jingle Trail!

The course runs on a high school cross country course, starting and finishing on the school track. From there it moves through a mix of asphalt, dirt, grass, and a stretch of pecan shell surface before climbing two distinct hills, Thunder Hill and the Rolling Thunder section behind the visitor bleachers. Cross country athletes are posted throughout to point you in the right direction.

Runners are asked to bring a new, unwrapped toy to donate to Toys for Tots at the start. Holiday decorations go up along the course, and festive outfits are a common sight in the field. The cross country team handles course marking with chalk, cones, and railroad ties along the path edges.
