The route starts at Armory Park, winds through Barrio Viejo, and comes back to where it began. The neighborhood streets there are older and dense with color, murals, and close-set adobe buildings. You can run it hard or stroll it in costume; both happen, and nobody seems to care either way.
The finish pulls into a park festival with music, drinks, and live entertainment that stretches well past the last runner coming in. It is as much an afternoon out as a race.
