About the Wekiva Parkway 5K
The course runs on a brand-new stretch of toll road that had never been open to the public before race day, which gives it an unusual feel. The signature moment is crossing a towering bridge through a multi-level interchange, well above the surrounding landscape. Proceeds from the race go toward wildlife conservation, reflecting the parkway's environmental protections along the Wekiva River corridor.
Parking is on the new roadway itself, reached via temporary ramps off the existing highway. Packet pickup is available on race morning, so there is no pressure to make a pre-race trip. After the run, the grand-opening celebration continues with community exhibits, music, and a ribbon-cutting ceremony on site.

Finish-Time Stats
Going by the 2018 results, this is a decent-sized field, and the spread of finish times is wide, so this is a mostly recreational race rather than one for club runners.

The Wekiva Parkway 5K has been held every year since at least 2018. That is as far back as RunSignup's records for this race go, so it may well be older.
How we calculate these stats: RunSesh calculates these figures from the most recent published results of past editions, sourced from RunSignup. We show aggregates only: field size, winning and median times, and the cutoff. We never publish individual finisher tables. Last updated Sep 10, 2026.
