About the Wegmans East Avenue Grocery Run
The course runs along East Avenue, flat on road the whole way, heading toward the Genesee River. The shorter distances turn back before the river; the longer one continues through a university campus and crosses a pedestrian bridge to return on the opposite bank. Along the way you pass a skate park and get an open view of the river and downtown before looping back.
Packet pickup happens at a local running store the two evenings before the race, with plenty of parking behind the building. Race-morning pickup is available on site as well. Afterward, there is a genuine spread: local bakeries, cafes, and restaurants donate food for the post-race party, so the finish area is worth lingering in.
