About the UR Medicine Home Care Hospice 5K
This is a memorial 5K built around hospice care, and that purpose is felt throughout. The race is held at Genesee Valley Park, and a companion walk covers a shorter out-and-back route for those who want to participate without running. The course is park-based, so expect paved paths and open space rather than road or trail.
Packet pickup runs the afternoon before at Fleet Feet near the Armory, with a race-morning window at the park shelter as a backup, though the organizers suggest not leaving it until then. Parking is available in a university lot nearby, and the race start is at the Roundhouse Shelter in Genesee Valley Park.
