About the Warren Rives Heart to Heart 5K
The course starts and finishes inside a minor league baseball stadium, which gives the start line an unusual feel. From there it heads out onto surrounding streets, follows a straightforward out-and-back shape through a residential stretch, and returns the same way. The route is certified, and there are no significant hills to speak of.
Packet pickup is available at a local hospital the morning before the race, and again that afternoon at a nearby running store. On race morning, registration opens before the start. The kids' event features a run around the bases at the stadium, and local team mascots get their own race beforehand.
