About the 5 Before the Feast
The race starts and finishes at a minor league baseball and soccer stadium in High Point, so the surroundings are more turf and bleachers than trails and trees. The main distance loops away from the stadium and returns; a shorter fun run stays on the concourse that wraps the field itself. Proceeds benefit youth programs at the local YMCA.
Packet pickup happens earlier in the race week, across a few days, before race morning. The stadium gives you a clear landmark to navigate to, and parking at a sports venue tends to be straightforward.

Finish-Time Stats
Going by the 2025 results, this is a decent-sized field, and the spread of finish times is wide, so this is a mostly recreational race rather than one for club runners.

The 5 Before the Feast has been held every year since at least 2016. That is as far back as RunSignup's records for this race go, so it may well be older.
How we calculate these stats: RunSesh calculates these figures from the most recent published results of past editions, sourced from RunSignup. We show aggregates only: field size, winning and median times, and the cutoff. We never publish individual finisher tables. Last updated Sep 10, 2026.
