This is a Thanksgiving morning race through downtown Visalia, starting sharp when the streets are still quiet and cool. The course runs through city blocks, with some streets closed off for the event, so the route feels open and unhurried even with a large field out there.
Packet pickup runs across several evenings in the days before the race at the Visalia Elks Lodge on Main Street. Race-morning pickup is available in a parking lot near the start, but the organizers are clear: the race starts on time regardless of how long the line is. Parking garages and city lots are nearby, though a few streets will be closed along the course.
