About the Vineyard Stomp 5K - Ott Vineyards
The course runs through the grounds of Ott Vineyards, so you are out among the vines for most of the race. The terrain is what you would expect from a working vineyard, uneven and agricultural rather than paved, with rows of grapevines on either side. Self-serve water stations are spaced through the course, though runners who want to keep moving without stopping may want to carry their own hydration.
The race starts in the afternoon, which is worth keeping in mind for pacing on a warm fall day. Check-in opens before the start, giving you some time to get settled on the property before the gun goes off.
