About the Village of Mamaroneck Turkey Trot
The course runs through Harbor Island Park, a waterfront setting that gives the race an open, breezy feel on a late-autumn morning. There are distance options for kids and adults, so whole families tend to show up together. The route is manageable and the park setting keeps things scenic without any serious climbs.
The race is put on by the local Parks and Recreation Department, and the community turnout reflects that. Turkey soup is waiting at the finish, which is a reasonable thing to want after a cold morning. An awards ceremony follows shortly after the race wraps up.
