About the Pumpkins In The Park 5K & Kids 1/2 Mile
The course runs through the Cobbs Hill neighborhood and up to one of the higher points in Rochester, where you get a wide open view of the downtown skyline. It is a hilly neighborhood route, not a flat park loop, and the Halloween timing means plenty of costumes in the crowd. A shorter kids race runs around the park fields after the main event wraps up.
Packet pickup runs the evening before at Fleet Feet on Culver Road, with a race-morning option under a white tent at the park. The organizers flag race-morning pickup as a last resort, so the prior-day window is worth using if you can.
