About the Ugly Sweater 5K
This is a holiday costume race that takes place near Gills Creek Memorial Park. The focus is as much on what you wear as how fast you run. Outfit judging runs alongside the finish-line results, and pets in holiday gear are welcome on course too. The race benefits a children's advocacy center in the area.
Packet pickup runs the evening before at Fleet Feet Forest Acres, with race-morning pickup available near the park as a backup. A holiday awards celebration follows the race, covering both top finishers and the most impressive costumes, human and animal alike.
