About the Shandon Turkey Trot & Burn 5K
The course runs through the tree-lined residential streets of the Shandon neighborhood, certified and mostly flat. It starts on Woodrow Street near a local church, winds through the surrounding blocks, and comes back to the same spot. A costume contest runs alongside the race, with prizes for the most creative Thanksgiving outfits, so expect a fair number of feathered hats and inflatable turkeys in the crowd.
Packet pickup is the evening before the race at Craft and Draft on Devine Street, a bar where you can grab a beer while you collect your bib. Race-day pickup and registration open early at the start line. Street parking is available along Devine Street and the surrounding neighborhood; the church lot adjacent to the start is reserved for race setup.
