About the Broad River Half Marathon Run/Hike

The course runs through Harbison State Forest, a large preserve along the Broad River with tall pines, hardwoods, and creek crossings. The terrain rolls with enough elevation change to keep things honest without being punishing. In late autumn, the trail surface is covered in fallen leaves, and the tree canopy opens up in places to show off the foliage.

Packet pickup is race morning under the gazebo at the start and finish area, which also serves as the main aid station. Parking is along the road nearby; volunteers direct traffic. A few aid stations along the course carry snacks and drinks. This is a cupless event, so bring your own vessel. A Thanksgiving-style Southern meal waits at the finish.
