About the 2026 Ugly Sweater 5k
The course starts at Myrick Park and runs through marsh trails lit up with lights, finishing at Rotary Lights in Riverside Park. It is a point-to-point route, so you end somewhere different from where you began, surrounded by a full holiday light display. Plenty of walkers turn out alongside runners, and the ugly sweater theme means the crowd looks the part.
Packet pickup runs the evening before at The Nature Place, with another window opening a couple of hours before the race on race day. Because the start and finish are at separate parks, a shuttle runs between them in both directions. The post-race gathering is in a heated tent at Rotary Lights, where the award ceremony takes place.
