About the Turkey Shuffle - Shreveport
The Turkey Shuffle starts at the Stoner Avenue Skate Plaza and winds through local parks and greenbelts. Fall foliage is part of the scenery, and the course covers paved and trail surfaces depending on which distance you choose. Several distance options make it work for adults and kids alike, including a short dash for the youngest runners.
A DJ keeps things moving at the start area, and a costume contest runs alongside the race, with a Thanksgiving theme and a trophy for the winner. Snacks and refreshments are set up at the finish tent, and awards are announced live before everyone heads out.
