About the Kids on the Run 2026-2027
This is a series of short runs for elementary-age kids, open to school running clubs and individual children. The races move around Shreveport across the school year, rotating through venues like a skate park along the riverfront, a stadium, and a university recreational field. Each location gives the course a different feel, and the competition is structured so clubs earn points across the whole series.
Packet pickup happens at Sportspectrum on Fern Avenue in the days before the first race, with race-site pickup available on each race day until shortly before the start. Each child gets a single bib with a chip that carries through every race in the series, so hold onto it. Schools picking up packets for larger groups should coordinate by email in advance.
