About the Turkey Shuffle - Corpus Christi
The Turkey Shuffle runs through Heritage Park, weaving along trails through greenbelts where the trees have turned by the time race day arrives. The course is relaxed in grade, and the surroundings are quiet enough that you notice the seasonal change. A DJ keeps things moving near the start and finish, and a Thanksgiving costume contest draws some genuinely committed entrants.
Snacks and refreshments are set up at the finish under a rally tent. Aid stations are posted along the course with water. Awards are announced live, with age group recognition across the distances.
