About the Tucson Unified School District 5k and One-Mile Fun Run and Walk
This race runs through Reid Park in Tucson, a flat urban park with paved paths and plenty of shade trees. The shorter distance gets going just a few minutes after the main event, so the two fields are out on the course at nearly the same time. Age group awards cover a wide span of brackets, from teens through older adults.
A health fair runs alongside the race, opening before the start and staying open through mid-morning. There is also a kids dash before the main events begin, which makes the morning feel more like a neighborhood gathering than a standalone road race.
