About the TTT: Theatre Turkey Trot

The race takes place at Ditto Landing on Thanksgiving morning, and costumes are part of the culture here. Runners show up dressed for the holiday, which gives the start line a different energy than most fall road races. The course is a standard road distance, flat enough that the holiday attire is the main obstacle. Proceeds go toward a local children's theater nonprofit.

Packet pickup runs the evening before at Running Lane on Memorial Parkway. The start area is at Ditto Landing, so plan your parking around the waterfront location. Check-in opens early on race morning before the gun goes off.

Common Questions About the TTT: Theatre Turkey Trot

Will I finish last at the TTT: Theatre Turkey Trot?

Almost certainly not. Half the 5K field finished slower than 33:18, and the last recorded finisher came in around 1:03:48, so there is a long tail of runners behind the middle of the pack. Most fields are far slower than people expect.

Is the TTT: Theatre Turkey Trot a good first 5K?

It is a small race (144 finishers), which is friendlier and less intimidating than a big-city event, though the field thins out. There is no qualifying time, and the finish-time spread above shows how varied the field really is. If it is your first 5K, that spread matters more than the winner's time.

How competitive is the TTT: Theatre Turkey Trot?

The 5K winner ran 17:59 while the median finisher took 33:18. That spread points to a mixed field, with a competitive front and a big recreational middle.
