About the UNDERGROUND 5K
This one runs through the bottom level of a parking garage, at night, the evening before Halloween. The concrete is dim, the music is loud, and costumes are part of the scene. It is a fast, stripped-down race with a genuinely unusual setting: the kind of surface and atmosphere you will not find at most road races.
The night opens with a shorter mile race, then the main event follows shortly after, with an after-party to close things out. Everything happens in the same spot, so you move from the start line to the finish to the party without going far.
