About the Tree of Life 10K, 5K & Pioneer 1 Mile Race
The course runs on gravel and dirt trails through the Chancellorsville Battlefield, with rolling hills and open historic ground around you. The longer distance heads through a neighboring area after the trail loop, while the shorter route turns back near the battlefield museum. The updated layout means everything starts and finishes in the same spot.
Packet pickup happens the evening before at a Fleet Feet location in Fredericksburg, with race-morning pickup available at the battlefield parking area. Parking is at the battlefield itself, with overflow spots nearby and a shuttle running back to the start.

Tree of Life 10K, 5K & Pioneer 1 Mile Race 2026 Results
Going by the 2026 results, this is a small, friendly field, and the spread of finish times is wide, so this is a mostly recreational race rather than one for club runners.

The Tree of Life 10K, 5K & Pioneer 1 Mile Race has been held every year since at least 2020. That is as far back as RunSignup's records for this race go, so it may well be older.
How we calculate these stats: RunSesh calculates these figures from the most recent published results of past editions, sourced from RunSignup. We show aggregates only: field size, winning and median times, and the cutoff. We never publish individual finisher tables. Last updated Oct 25, 2026.
